I've never seen the BCW brand but they look similar to the older coin world slabs. When I first got my 1964-D Peace Dollar I put it into one of those self slab holders and it still looks great. Not sure if that helps or not.

Hmmm have not seen those either. The description says 'No Inserts' does that mean that they are just the hard outer shell or do they come with something to hold the coin in place? Just curious...I could use something like that for some of my raw coins then I could keep them in a better box.

It looks like you have to order inserts of appropriate size separately. I did come across an ad with half-dollar inserts already. They appear to be hard plastic, but there are also a significant number of foam inserts too. Caveat emptor!

I got a bunch of these and ended up throwing them all out. Super cheap- the coin ends up sliding under the foam. They don't snap together well—one of the disappointments in searching for these types of plastic holders.

I've used them infrequently for display purposes in a set , like my Olympic gods I'm working on. Made my own crappy label. They are simple and easy you use and interchange the coins
