Anyone have experience sending consignments to 4SC?

Are they fast? Good communication?

Outstanding! I used them last month and will use them again. Great communication, fast listing and payment was made exactly when they said it would be. Can't beat the consignment rate either.

Used them four times the past two years. No issues, fast listing, and fast payment.

I have some graded and some Raw to consign and they won’t take my raw so I’ll be sending to GM.

Doesn't GM have a minimum $1500 consignment and charge 25% or greater fee?

    25% and min 5k.

But eBay is already at 15%+ for me direct and they get stronger prices so it’s probably a wash

Is 4SC is better for graded vintage or graded modern? Or do they have a good following for both?

They do more modern but they have a big following. I wouldn't hesitate to send them vintage.

"We accept consignments from collectors of all sizes."

"We do not accept consignments with an estimated value of less than $5000."

If the second statement is true then the first is a lie.

After further review, it looks like I will NOT be sending any cards to 4SC. It clearly states on their submission form that they make payouts through paypal. I no longer use, and have no use for paypal!

The whole idea of having someone else sell your card on ebay is so you don't hit the $600 threshold (getting a 1099-K) by selling it yourself. Why the hell would they send you the payment by paypal ?

Ummm, think that is the reason in the minority for using a consigner.. Plus the consigner should be sending a 1099 anyways..... Think most do it because some consigners get better sales prices, assume risk on the shipping/scamming, and many sellers don't have a ebay account with decent feedback levels that they would want to attempt it or have too many slabs they don't want to be bothered with it...

That's probably the reason most consigners quit sending payments through paypal starting last year.

Yeah, short collectors, tall collectors, skinny collectors....... :D

Skinny is definitely a condition rarity amongst collectors.
