That is THE GREATEST US coin design ever…in my opinion.
I like the matte proofs. They catch my eye more than most gold coins. I currently don't own any denomination of gold coin, though.
PCGS Proof-67+ with a less-than-expected value of $275,000. In a registry set.

It was a great Era of coin design, that unfortunately I have admire vicariously through other collectors examples.
Liberty coinage will always hold a special place in my collectors heart. But the Native American Indian inspired designs offer a design that that is truly American.
I cannot seem to keep gold coinage in my collection for an extended period of time, except the chinesium fakes that reside in my 7070. I will see if I can post an image of it.

Most of mine I don't have good photos. I need to get some more sent in for True Views someday. I like the D on this one as it is a bit different than some other Denver coin design mintmarks.

I haven’t owned a 10$ Indian in years, I used to wish they made a 1909o example along with a saint. Those would have been special coins to close out the mint. The 5$ isn’t a bad consolation but I have yet to own one of those

This was in my 7070 album , for the past few years. Then a few collectors were interested, so i submitted it recently …. as a sort of insurance policy, in case they’re wondering.
I have never had a gold coin, but my grandfather had one that I saw as a kid. It was never found upon his death. Not that it was promised to me, just that it disappeared. It's the only $50 gold coin I had ever seen then or now in person.
