The listing for the coin in the OP is still active!
So, far I know of one report that's in already.

Before we start reporting the 31-S lets look closer at it.

What I'm not sure of at present is if there is more than one mint mark location for the 31-S?
I did find a PCGS image of a genuine one so I put together a comparison image of the obverse of the two.
To date I've not seen a phony 31-S but that's not to say they're not out there, I've just not researched them or looked for them either?

i like you are trying to be careful and not nuke listings unnecessarily!

i've seen plenty of bad dates, probably every key date for every series ever made, even quite a few foreign, counterfeited, quite a few in fake holders too. so ya, they're out there. every single date of every single coin of every single mint mark etc. of any value essentially. they counterfeit en-masse, post 59 lincolns, roosevelts, washingtons etc. most of the veterans here have seen all that, (alibaba, etsy, marketplace, etc etc) even these many years ago. we've posted em here many times.

i am not 100% on the 31-s, didn't give it that much effort but i think the odds of it being good are very low. i just posted the report links for anyone that wanted to and as a reminder to make it easier for everyone to report when we are 100%, we can post those links.

i don't like the look of it and i'm not sure it is just the lighting as i looked at some of the other coins and they don't have this look. it looks intentionally aged, corroded, scraped etc. just another coin another day, so doesn't matter to me. there are probably many hundreds of fakes listed so for my part i will rarely get caught up in any one particular coin. if i really feel strongly, i doubt i'll even report now i've got my lower ebay accounts active with false info, so they can't track me back so easily if i win and one isn't removed. played this game MANY times in a myriad of forms with these desperate scammers.

if ebay were serious, they'd go to a 3 strike policy and the account is NARU. it is easy for them to push this whole new no fraud, no fakes, no problem etc but a lot of people in this world talk a big game, a lot harder to back it up with tough action. sure they have a lot of authetnicaters and protocols now but it is not even close to enough. gotta start nuking accounts. the end. i think the best we can hope for is a few decent people ending listings voluntarily and hopefully not relisting and perhaps reporting enough/winning the items so that others don't end up with them but ultimately, plenty slip through. there appears to be PLENTY of people buying them KNOWING they are fake but at a steeply discounted price with and without copy on them, so there is that.

not a rant or tangent, just sharing. :)

keep up the good work and fight the good fight!

Keep in mind that when I first started doing this I got trashed & bashed if I posted a coin that didn't have conclusive evidence of it being a fraud, so after much encouragement I had to refine how I listed these.
If I wasn't 100% sure and the coin had identifying markers I screen grab the images, change the background, then post the coin for opinions without any link! if the opinions came back in agreement than I would edit the OP include the link to the listing and that's the only way I survived the first few months of doing this.
There is to many members here that sell on ebay or have friends on ebay for me to be able to do it any other way. Once I got it right things have been going really well.
So, every once in a while you'll see me start a thread for a coin and the title will say 'Opinions Please' (no link) you'll know its one I'm not 100% sure of and its important in those to get views from several members in the know view on it.
I'm in no way getting on to you for anything, I'm just trying to keep things rolling along without any real issues.
And, you wasn't one that was following these threads early on, so I'm just giving the some background.
I'm very thankful that your following these threads. I think the group here is taking things up a notch in hammer phony coin listings, that is to say our hammer is carrying more weight and more ability to cover a wider range of coins ;)

    BUMP!
Alright, the listing for the coin in the OP is still active for some strange reason?
If its still active come early evening I'll extend the leverage to get it removed ;)

The second 1 in the date looks out of position on the first coin.

It kinds looks like it's sitting lower.

    Yep, I do see that?
Also, the mint mark is closer to the 3 on the PCGS image? but, that's why I stated that I don't know at this point is there is more than one mint mark location on the 31-S?

a cursory exam on CF shows a few different ones, including some rotation on at least one.
