How much does a Sunday night playoff or championship game interfere with bids on Great Collections?

Do Sunday night sporting events help buyers and hurt sellers on Great Collections? Or not much of an impact at all? I know I was watching both during the Super Bowl but then my team wasn't playing in it. Tonight there is no NBA Finals game but last week there was and I watched coins (not that I was going after) close for less than I had expected. Don't ask because I wouldn't be able to recall what they all were. I sort of remember a Sunday night March Madness game this year and in 2021 where some coins I was watching didn't seem do so well either. Just the way some nights go or ??

I don’t really know for sure but it can’t possibly help if your the seller competing with a big athletic event at the same time.
I think it hurts the consignor.

I tried to bake some chicken tonight while watching several GC auctions as they ended. I failed. The chicken turned out great though.

While the auction houses claim it doesn't affect their results, I do remember an auction on the night of the final game of baseball's World Series where there were almost no last minute bids. I can't say that is a regular occurrence.
While it may be expecting too much, as a gesture of good faith to consignors, I wonder if auction house should delay auctions that have these types of last minute conflicts,
With smart phone one can bid anytime and almost anywhere. I don't see it as a deterrent. If I want the coin, or Hot wheel, Ill set a timer and bid. Yes, Sometimes I snipe, Just being real..
If a bidder wants something bad enough...the championship event can usually be seen at a later time.

Given the sport/event, there WILL be fewer viewers on most any daily or weekly auction site. I visit GC religiously, but if Sunday late afternoon/night I'm watching the Ryder Cup, I'm apt to miss out. Does that affect the results? Depends.
If two bidders really want something, I think the event would generally not impact their battle. There are a few occasions during the year where I take mental note of a coin I really want, and I take measures to be available.
If the coin is a difficult to find, key or semi-key, conditional rarity, just rare or highly desirable (think 1921 high relief Peace, 1927-S MS Merc, Doily, etc), I suspect the event would have minimal impact.
However, if the auction is for a widget (think MS67 war nickels, 40's Mercs, 38-D Buffalo, etc), I think there is definitely an impact.
But look, I'd argue beautiful Spring or Fall weather, especially after a miserably cold or hot spell, has more impact than a sporting event. I'd also argue that the last two weeks of May or first two weeks of June also have a large impact on auctions as families head out on vacation.
It's been said many times. With an auction you just never know.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

As most bidders these days bid in the closing moments and as GC gives you the exact hour, min&sec of the close of the bid, who cannot miss 30 sec of any sporting event to place a bid?

Not enough to help me. I was the underbidder on a lot I really wanted.
It would help me bc most my bids on Sunday in last seconds. Watch list prep performed during week before auction. Unfortunately there are some try hards that can put in nuclear bids. What I call a Nuke Bid Warrior.
As far as seller goes wish them good luck.
Now and then get some really good wins for show retail but still competition get it can be tough. As it gets later in auc sometimes the other bidders may have run out of money.
I recall seeing another thread where Ian provided stats that disprove this perception.

Apparently nothing else was going on this Saturday night; because prices realized seemed to be way high to me. I bid the price guide for two or three grades higher and still got outbid.
