Great Collections - Reserve Bids

I have been following Great Collections auctions pretty closely the last couple of months. It would seem that the upcoming auction this Sunday (6/12) either includes an abnormal number of items with high reserve bids or collector interest has started to cool off.
Specifically, there are several categories where a majority of the lots have not yet received their first bid (as of Thursday 6/9), this effect is most pronounced among up-market, more expensive items. Would be curious if anyone else has noticed this and what they make of it.

Action will start to accelerate the final 3 days….
I would wait until it gets closer to post time to see if any bids show up.
I was surprised by the number of coins that seem to have a reserve bid.
I do believe that collector interest has slowed. I have not sold a coin in about 3 weeks. Longest stretch in about 1 1/2 years. With that said, I am offering coins at healthy margins so are they overpriced?
Fin'l markets need a bounce or gold needs to bounce, IMO to improve sales.
Too small a sample so I'm only guessing.
I snipe, so I won't bid till the end
I do have some coins going up on GC that will be listed next week. I too start them at 80%, can't take the chance of people not interested or not bidding. I think that's what you're seeing, the days of a $1 starting bid are coiming to an end, for the most part

All of my GC submissions have started at $1.
I have not been disappointed.
I guess it all depends what you're auctioning off..........
