Game time 2:32. With only 9 total hits and 2 walks. I would have thought with those stats it would have been around a 2 hour game.

Tonights game was worth staying up for as they finally win the game in extra innings.

The last Angels/Red Sox game that I attended was on October 12, 1986. The most memorable sporting event of my life. The crowd was delirious wild. The joint was rockin'. It was insane. And then........

How many wins do the Sox have to get before anybody here starts getting behind them?

there are definite signs of life. I am really looking forward to Sale returning. he should have a very strong arm for the second half of the season and hopefully the playoffs.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Yea, it was all bitter sweet for both teams. Angels and Sox. Worse for the Angels. But so too for the Sox. Donnie Moore ended up committing suicide over the playoff loss and Bill Buckner, my favorite player, retired in obscurity in Idaho and died young from dementia related symptoms....... He claimed that the World Series error didn't bother him but.....it did.......Haunted him to the last. Oh , well......R.I.P.,......Donnie and Bill. Baseball. What a game!

It's like this, Showboat........If the Angels had won that championship series, which they should have.....Two players lives would not have been destroyed..... Gene Mauch, God rest his Soul, is in my opinion, the worst manager in MLB history. He was a manager cut out to handle medicore teams......those guys are in demand........ But,......once he found himself managing a potential pennant winner......he lost his head. Twice. He caved under pressure...........choked......1964 Phillies........1986 Angels.......God Rest His Soul.

I only recently have gotten to a place in my life where I feel relatively at peace. I'm still struggling, financially and sometimes mentally, but I'm so close to feeling ok. I say this because your comment makes me think of the weight that we all carry sometimes, so heavy, and so needlessly.

What exactly would you like us to do? Only post good stuff when they win? How about a critique when the hit a losing streak, is that ok to post about? Probably not.

I, of course have posted the not so good stuff from time to time and call 'em like I see "em. Its called having an opinion and trying to see both sides of their game play. When players are making well over $100k per game, aren't they supposed to excel and play well? This is a kid's game they play for 6 months, albeit on a very high level, it's still a kid's game.

I doubt there is more than a small handfull of posters here who really give a rip about the Red Sox. You are never gonna convert posters away from their home team and ask them to "get behind them". It truly means nothing to me if they win or lose, I prefer that they win, but I don't obsess over their playing skills, or lack thereof. I don't watch every game, but I could, I just have other interests to spend my time with. Yes, they have played very well recently, but, so what? It's only baseball.

I have plenty of Fenway memories, the game is never gonna be the same as it was in the 50s, 60s, or 70s.

I haven't seen a game in over a week...the aerator company hired by my subdivision was kind enough to cut my internet line while putting holes in my grass. So much fun to deal with AT&T!! NOT. Obviously I'm back online now.

    Welcome back my friend.
I only have artificial grass so don't need to poke holes in it.
As for the Red Sox they do not have enough pitching to go all the way at this point but it is fun to watch them when you have nothing else to do.
I hate basketball and have not followed hockey since I left Mass 30 odd years ago.
