1992 China 12 oz Panda lost/stolen in transit

Investigating Agency: UPS
Location: TRANSIT MN TO FL

Details:

The following coin was shipped via UPS from Minnesota to Florida and has been reported missing/stolen. The coin was a rare 1992 China gold 12oz Panda original government capsule only 99 total coins struck (Cert #1). The box was not sent only the coin.

    12oz of gold via UPS??? Very foolish.

    It is ok to use ups if you buy insurance or at least not declare what is in the package if without insurance (take your chance).

    Clearly, that isn’t true. I’m sure both of those things were done, and the owner is still out the coin.

    While the insurance company may allow it, UPS isn’t secure by any stretch of the imagination.
