Are people still buying W quarters?

On another site I'm on someone is listing W quarters for $15-$45 depending on which one it is and condition, are people still buying them and if so how much are people willing to spend on them?
If he's actually getting that price I may have to think about selling a lot of mine.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anthony

You might want to try checking recent sales on eBay, I think that will give you a good guide for what they are selling for right now.
I bought the first year off the bay. I have never gotten one in change here in Tx. Decided not to pay ebay prices anymore and just gave up on them.

The coin shop near me is buying less than perfect ones for $10 each (they resell at $20) and uncirculated ones for $20 (resell at $40). I never found any in the wild but that certainly motivated me to look harder. The coin dealers told me they never found any despite the fact they roll search all the time.
I see slabbed 65s for $25 to $30 on ebay. BIN. Raw coins seem to mostly be in the $15 range. There's a LOT of listings still.
I'm still searching, but lately they seem to have dried up...
Nope… no one wants em
Then there are a whole lot of fake sales on ebay.
They were hot but lately they are trending down. It happens to all the moderns after a couple of years. I said early on that they would be a $10 coin when collectors could not find them in the wild anymore. I sold all I had 2 years ago and do not regret doing so.
Apparently not. 😢

I've sold many 2020 W Quarters Marsh and Tallgrass for $20-$30 each,, Tallgrass is the cheaper of the two, on eBay.
Seems they are still selling strong
These are some of the best Loomis OBW I collected along the way,, I've still got the best of both, which of course I think would sell for more than my bulk packages.
Thanks
I still need one of the ten for a full “double set”
What years were they issued? 2019 and 2020?
Yes
I have a couple through the generosity of forum members. However, I still look for one to show up in change... No luck so far. Cheers, RickO
Indeed, and I thank you for the coins I bought from you - all very nice and at least what I would have hoped for.
Well, just Love coins, period.
I put some in the shop junk basket at 5 bucks, and they just sat there. So I gave them to one of my customers who likes that type stuff.
Did you have a lot of people looking through that junk basket? A lot of people I talk to today, are still not even aware or understand the significance of the W quarter program.

I have a coin on auction right now on eBay
I should've said everyone wants BU W Quarters with free shipping & I jumped the free they actually said "express mail" since I had priority selected,, I like the small boxes that come with priority for free and it's safer for the customers coins I've been asked for some 2019 W BU to which I respond that I don't have any in BU quality also I might be wrong but to me "lower end BU is MS-60/65?" then I'm thinking selling the best ones solo or even heading them.
If the dings/bag marks are too bad I don't sell them and give them away.
This statement has my own personal opinion which of course I could be wrong
Thanks all
I found one and change and have found 25 and searching rolls of quarters. I did get caught up in the frenzy the first you're so, especially when the bank lobbies were closed and you couldn't get rolls of quarters. $10 the $15 for a 4-door sounds fair to me. I just enjoy going to the bank rolls and finding one in about 200 rolls of quarters. It first you could find one in about 5 to 10 rolls of quarters, but not anymore. They're still out there, but them rascals are hard to find.

Yeah I so agree they are still out there, just when you find almost 30 per box back in the rush sometimes even more.
I wondered why I only found Marsh-Billings and Tallgrass the most and none of any others, when they did get mixed they didn't get mixed in that good hence sometimes finding a box with 30.
Not one weir farms W quarter in all my boxes.
Thanks
It is/was completely random. Where you lived and where the fed was dumping them into circulation. Unless of course, you had an inside source telling you which banks Brinks or Loomis was delivering them to.
Some guys have found (not bought) hundreds of all ten series.........some guys have found zero!

The "W" glitter is gone for many.
I still buy them to fill my match sets.
In the 2019's I look for MS66's and the 2020's, I look for MS65's.
My sets include First Week, Early Finds and General business strikes.
I can wait for the right price as I am not in a rush to complete them.

Nuff said.
I found 1 in the wild and traded a fellow collector for 2 more, so I have 3 in total. I wouldn't buy one though, but I did get 3 graded so each cost me about $10.

I understand both sides (pro and con) of this W program. A lot of hype with the great American coin hunt, promoting coin collecting. On the other side, inflated prices. I also don't believe the distribution of these W's was very equitable throughout the country. Not everyone could play.

Also not to mention the supposed coin shortage,,, I say supposed cause we have the coins that wasn't the problem, the problem was there was no drivers.
So the main cities I think got the most of the 2020 W Quarters I can't say about the 2019 W hunt.
Just my opinion
Thanks
On vacation here in South Florida always look for new coinage not seen where I'm from. But this year had trouble obtaining
quarters for the coin laundry. Publix would only let go 1 roll at a time.
The main cities SHOULD get the most. They have the largest populations. The main cities also win the most lotteries. It's statistics not a conspiracy.
Yeah I was told by many banks they had coin shortage @ the end I had 3 bank accounts 2 for just coins,,, then since I invested in a cassia or cassida C300 coin machine I'd search dump and roll full boxes in about a day or so,, lol I'm super slow.
At first I'd just go anywhere to dump coins super fast, first stop the pot shops and they was getting full boxes, grocery stores full boxes & gas stations full boxes.
One hears this and they are like yeah ok sure who's gonna give 5 Benji for a box of quarters uncounted?
Enters extreme paladin/security camera installer that's who,,,, who also has 20+local years behind him.
I was even given money up front along with I fronted grocery stores
I was on a roll
I looked for a long time with no luck and then BOOM - found two within days. Posted them here on the forum. Both are circulated, one fairly heavily, one maybe AU
The 1995-W dime was never put in circulation. Only in mint sets.

I thought it was the 1996 set that had the W dime.
You're correct I was wrong it was the 1996 W dime. My first mistake in the last 60 Seconds.

$385 on eBay I've got questions about the Mac sticker and the 90ft what do those mean? Is it like a CAC sticker and 90% full torch?
Well, ummm, this went sideways pretty quickly. Thanks for all the help.
@Abbc10
YES! People are still buying them!🤣😂
They are still buying them but there is not the volume that there was when they were being found in big quantities.
It is like the other coins that do not have new coins coming out year after year as there is no reason to collect them.
Your price is too high. Price them lower.... someone will buy them.
I bought a very nice raw MS San Antonio Missions W quarter for $18 some time back. Never found one in circulation, but really wanted that particular coin.

Nice looking coins but if they don't have a slot in an album that needs to be filled the price is too high.
I perceive tis as an artificial "rarity", so there is no reason for them to hold value over time and need to collect them.
Same with the 70-D half. That wasn't the point. There's only 2 million of each. They are $10 coins.
It was. Corrected.
You were just quoting my typo. Blame me
There may only 2 million of each but I doubt there are 2 million collectors of the 5 piece set willing to pay $100 for the 10 coins without an album to put them in.
Gotta disagree with you on that one unless they are all heavily circulated W quarters plus there will never be 2 million sets as many singles have been slabbed.
You can make a set out of slabs.
