Fully loaded cost of taking deliver of silver contract & produce rounds

Something I've often wondered about but haven't found a good answer yet.

1. What is the cost to produce a silver round, blank or bar?
2. Do the private mints simply exchange assayed 1,000 oz bars for their own rounds for a markup or do you have to order them then wait?
3. I also wonder if people sell slices of the 1,000 oz bars and if so, what kind of premiums are charged?

Interesting questions, wish I could be more help. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

2) I don't know, I do know GSM took the minting option off of their website I think the price on the website used to be 90 cents per ounce.
3) Money Metals offers an option called vault silver, fractional ownership of a 1000 ounce bar, I think I read that amark has a similar program.
