Is this serial number considered an error?

I don't know about currency. I'm looking at the number 7 in the right side serial number. It looks bolder than the other numbers and the 7 in the left side serial number. Is this consideted an error? If so is there any value to it? Just curious.

No. It’s just minor over inking and within BEP tolerances. Collectors that handle a lot of paper money see it often.

@Steve_in_Tampa Thank you. Where can I learn more about the process? I'd like to understand how this and the mismatched serial numbers occur.

You can buy Fred’s guide. It’s chocked full of information including photos, approximate prices and detailed explanations why and how paper money errors happen. I use my copy frequently.
