So, Joc Pederson was accused of cheating. I've never played fantasy football before, I didn't realize that it could get so feisty!

Ironically, after reading that Tommy Pham is currently batting .233 there was less than a 1 in 4 chance that he would have connected on that hit to begin with. ;)

Tommy Pham said there was “too much money on the line” and “he was messing with my money.”

“I’m a big dog in Vegas. I’m a high roller at many casinos.”

I don't do much gambling myself, every now and then I'll bet my wife a twenty dollars on the Panthers game, and she's a scary woman if you don't pay up, one time I was short on cash and she threatened to break my thumbs!

Tommy Pham......A child in an adult body. I'm sure he has never experienced the slightest hardship or deprivation in his entire pampered life. What a babyboy....The Participation Trophy Generation.

    .....
wikipedia obviously "isn't Gospel", so take it with a grain of salt. I haven't researched this incident, but to say someone has never experienced hardship is almost always/always hyperbole

Sounds like Tommy has some anger control issues as well. Joc owes him one.

Yep, just as I suspected, this whole slapping incident is Mike Trout's fault. They made Mike Trout commissioner of the fantasy league and he was a lousy commissioner!

Tommy Pham drags Mike Trout into Joc Pederson feud

If you’ve read about Tommy Pham slapping Joc Pederson, you likely blame one of two people. You either think that Pham went over the line or — less likely — that Pederson had it coming. But Pham has shifted blame to a third party — Mike Trout.

The slap stemmed from an incident in a fantasy football league that Pederson and Pham were both a part of. On Tuesday, Pham revealed that Trout was the commissioner of the league in question and dropped the ball on his responsibilities — seriously.

“Trout did a terrible job, man,” Pham said, laughing, per Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer. “Trout is the worst commissioner in fantasy sports because he allowed a lot of (stuff) to go on, and he could’ve solved it all. I don’t want to be the (bleeping) commissioner; I’ve got other (stuff) to do. (Trout) didn’t want to do it. We put it on him, so it’s kind of our fault too because we made him commissioner.”

If anyone has ever been a commissioner for a fantasy sports league, you know how thankless the job can be.

It is interesting that Pham didn’t want to be commissioner because he didn’t have time. But somehow Mike Trout found time to make it happen. Being a Las Vegas big dog must really be a time-consuming venture.

This story is like an onion. Every different layer reveals something completely new. Now, though, we’re at a point where, while surprise may still be possible, shock is not. We past that point a long time ago. And we really can’t wait to hear what other outfielders get thrown into this.

I assume it was an online league with default settings or prior agreed upon settings. As Pederson said in an interview, Tommy Sham did the same thing in prior weeks.

And that video made it look more than a slap, but I guess there are different rules.
