If I want the variety specified for a coin….

Do I submit the coin for reholder when all I really want is the variety specified? If so, then $13 for reholder, another $18 for variety specified for a total of $31 per coin. Recently it was $17 for variety specified but that has now gone up.
Any way to get around the reholder?

Yes. You have to do reholder and variety attribution. They have to reholder it to add the new label. You can usually keep the same certification number.

i must not have had many slabbed coins attriuted (mostly raw) because i don't recall having to do the reholder fee AND attribution fee. if they've gone to that structure, really puts a squeeze on a lot of coins that could possible be in attributed holders. looks like coins going to other tpgs.

I have been adding to the Registry and for the variety registry there are over 600 variations and not all coins that I might buy do not have variety specified. Heck, I would be happy if they just tied the variety into the slab number and never noted it on the label. For Registry I only need PCGS to know the variety and slab number….ugh!
