I've been looking for a decently-centered version of this Hornsby in this grade for years. It didn't come cheap, but given recent comps, I think I paid a fair price.

Great player. Great card. Great patience. Feels good to finally land the big one.
hey paleocards,
Awesome on your quest...Pretty cool...
Amazing card. One to be proud of for sure!
Always nice to check one off the bucket list.
That is a great one. If you want to see some of the most incredible 33 Goudeys check out the current Memory Lane. Was eyeing a few including your Rogers.
It's a beauty Andy, enjoy it.
very nice looking card. congrats!!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
That is one true beauty.

SWEET!
Good job!
Congrats! Hornsby's stats are so fun to gaze at on baseball reference.
I just looked at his stats on Baseball Reference. Seven batting titles, .358 lifetime BA. Yet, it took him five ballots before being elected to the Hall of Fame. In year three, he only got 17% of the vote. Wonder if he was disliked by many?
Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
"Rogers Hornsby was my manager and he called me a talking pile of pigshi+! And that was when my parents drove all the way down from Michigan to see me play the game! And did I cry????"
Beautiful card Paleo! Congratulations!!!
