An Interesting 1945-S Walker...

I know many of you won't like this. In person, it's not quite so dirty grey. The luster is subtle but genuine.
I assume this sat a bit too long in the double mint set cardboard.
I bought it raw last week just because I like it.

Honestly, I really like it. There’s some nice toning and the gray complements the toning nicely. If the reverse had some toning between the eagle’s legs, it would break up the gray nicely, but if it’s not as dark in hand like you say then it may not need it.
Edit: the first double mint sets were issued in 1947, so it is not double mint set toning.
Coin Photographer.
What ever it was in was not allowing it all to tone, just the fields and low spots. In fact, it actually looks like the Grey areas are ED.
Quick bath in ammonia and thats at least a 65 from what I can see. Lovely coin as is though.

I like the coin, but it didn't get issued in a double Mint Set holder since those didn't start until 1946.

Old time 2x2 mylar coin envelope. I sold a coin like that a few years ago and this might be it!
Ha, good catch @FlyingAl & @TomB - Had I stopped and really thought about it, I did know that. The toning and grey just seemed so similar I assigned it to mint set toning in my mind.
Edited to add, maybe a coin purse then. Interesting that it's uniform both front & back.
