Contemporary Bogus Coins

I thought it would be fun to pull out a few of the contemporary counterfeits I've collected over the years. Included in the mix are two altered halves I thought were cool.
If you have coins like this, please share! I enjoy looking at them.

    Those are all quite cool!
I don't know anything about counterfeit nickels... seems like a lot of trouble for 5c?

Let me dig around and see if I can find anything that I haven't posted recently..

Is the Stone Mountain actually counterfeit or was it a real coin that was carved?

I think your 1873 half dollar is actually genuine, but with hand tooling to outline the design details.
I also think the 1916-S nickel is genuine.

The Stone Mountain half dollar is hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like a genuine coin that was carved.

The 1944 no-"P" nickel is definitely a Henning (vintage counterfeit).
The Bust half dollars are both vintage counterfeits as well.

The half dollars- Seated and Commemorative are genuine coins. I like the carving done on these and added their photos to this thread because of it.

The 1916 is definitely a counterfeit. The buffalo is too thick and this is a well-known contemporary counterfeit. I did purchase all of these coins aware of their status and am filling up a Dansco 7070 typeset with these. Some are Moonlight Mint creations, but the rest are all fake coins from the period.

It does look just like this one:

Now that I see clearer pictures I agree that it is a vintage counterfeit.
