Dropped.

Looks like remnants of a 1, to the left of 1.
A Denver Mint mark to the top right of 1.
An outline in the field of a 1 downward to the back of Denver. 1957D
It looks like the 1 was taken with the Denver and dropped when reinstalling an actual removed 1.
Broken die shown on the left reverse wheat.

Occam's razor: sometimes a die polish line is just a die polish line.
This looks like an org chart at work during covid
It appears you have decent magnification for study and examination. But first you have to study and understand the minting process. Then you can study the varieties or errors that you're interested in. You do not need to have the coins in hand. Rather - find the photographs of known examples first. Then locate as much as you can about the die markers and how those markers come and go with the die wearing out. Just "looking" for "stuff" and making up things as you go along is NOT how it's done.

research is the key to finding unusual coins or mint errors
