Has ebay did this to anyone else selling on ebay?

I just received two email messages from ebay asking for me to update my banking information immediately in order to be paid for sales in the future. Nothing has changed so I logged into ebay on my pc and sure enough there were 2 messages, one minute apart asking me to login to my banking account to verify the info. It lists my account number to log into, so what more do they need and why? Anyone else have this occur to them? This has never occurred to me before.
Thanks,
Jim

It could be that you are still receiving payments via PayPal which eBay is moving away from in favor of their own managed payments system. Have you switched over to managed payments?

yes
You just crossed the $600 line in sales.
Yes, the same happened several months ago. It appears to be a random "check" for security purposes.
Thank you, kind of had me concerned. Yes to managed payments several months ago and I crossed the $600 threshold in Feb. I'll do as they ask.

Thanks for posting this. I just listed some coins after a long hiatus from selling and also received that message. I used to exclusively do PayPal, but ebay already has my banking info for when I buy...

eBay just charged me 2 months store fees at the same time. I was charged for April & May both on May 1st.
This happen to anyone else?
I bet your 1st month is prorated unless you opened your store on the 1st.
I have been receiving this exact message since months ago but I did nothing (have not responded) because I do not plan to use Ebay. My preference has always been the BST board here and Great Collections
Haven't used BST in quite awhile as it appeared to have slowed way down other than moderns and bullion. I believe I'll give it another try.

No, I have had a store for 10+ years. Guess I will have to call them
Yes, I got something like that a while back and what it amounted to was just a current verification on my part to make sure everything was still current and correct, I didn't have to change or really update anything.

I just got an email from ebay stating that the new 1099K law was unfair and I needed to contact my senators and complain. Whaaat? They have never listened to me.

OK, so it looks like ebay did the "micro-deposits" into my account and pulled the money out yesterday, but ebay is still not recognizing my bank account. It looks like there's some "verification page" where I need to enter the amounts that ebay deposited... any ideas where to find this "magic page"? Thanks...

Your right about the verification final process, I know you have to know the exact amount of both deposits, if you didn't get an email then look in what's called "My Ebay" going into account and look for it there.

Go to My Ebay and then Account Settings, then Seller AccountJ(should be a little i in a circle with it if there is a problem) and you will find the blanks to enter the amounts. After doing so, Ebay will tell you if it is correct and also tell you it can be 2 to 3 days before any funds will be released. What a joke.

Look closely and you will see that these invoices are not actually from PayPal. The URL is slightly different. This is a scam attempt to steal your information.
