The 1950 film "No Man of Her Own" was based on the Cornell Woolrich (William Irish) novel I Married a Dead Man published in 1948.

Barbara Stanwyck portrays a woman who carries seventeen cents around to remind her of her past while she impersonates a deceased wealthy woman.

In the book the woman describes the four coins:
"An Indian-head penny, a Lincoln-head penny, a buffalo nickel, a Liberty-head dime"
