My most recent foray to the dark side

Over the last few years, my primary are of interest was a generic older USA gold type set. That was essentially finished last year, but I always hope for an upgrade or to be able to afford a different type. Haven’t seen anything that meets my interest level and price tag this year.

As I have family connections to Chile/Finland/Norway I try to see if I can once awhile find something where the price/interest in design / value intersect.

To date, I think I have one finish gold piece an one Chilean piece. I keep trying to add more, but can’t seem to get everything to line up.

In this weekends auction, I had been following a number of coins. I new prices would be high, and most of the Chilean and Finnish pieces were going for more than I wanted. That said, I liked the look of this piece. I figured with such limited numbers, the pricing would be tough to gage, and since it had been a while, I had some funds available. So with that, I have taken another quick trip into the dark side.

Can’t say when I will visit again, but I will enjoy it for now. (Sellers pics)
