How long does it take to be able to post photos & change my profile pic?

I registered last weekend but unable to add coin photos for discussion or even upload a new profile pic. How long does it take to get access to all that? I'm kind of getting discouraged and starting to lose interest. I just don't get it.

Is it possible to assist in pushing my account access along so I can share photos, update my profile pics, be able to "Like" and "Agree" with other posts? Not sure if something wasn't completed behind the scenes but I am unable to use these basic features.
