PSA Magazine - Price Guide

I was just looking through the May 2022 issue of PSA Magazine and noticed a big uptick in the price of a 1990 Topps Frank Thomas NNOF (see below). It puts the price of a PSA 8 at $17,600.. however, when I look up the card price in PSA's online price guide it shows $12,000+. Is this common to have different prices listed in the current magazine and online price guide? Thanks!
