1963 Topps Berra

I recently purchased a 1963 Topps psa 8 Berra on eBay for a large amount of money. There were quite a few
bidders on the card. It is not a low pop card at all. Can someone share your thoughts on the reason for its
exorbitant price.

    I guess I waited too long to find the Berra at a somewhat reasonable price to finish
    my 63's. You are right. The card is super tough and expensive. Thanks!

    It is extremely Difficult the find That year Berra centered and free of print dots and no white on the corners. 8's never come up for sale or auction. It is similar to the 1962 Frank Robinson. Most 63 8's of Berra sell for over 1000. If you got it for close to that or even more , you got a good deal. I've had mine for over 15 years and paid 500 for it.
