Isn't the auction still running due to the system issues last night? The 1958 PSA 9 example shows that it's best to list big cards with the auction houses rather than on eBay.
Yes, there was an issue at midnight that I could not login to their website. The auction is still open...as I see bids placed this afternoon (4/25).
Went to bed thinking I won two cards. Now outbid on one of them. Will see if the other holds up. The auction had an amazing Banks collection that was being broken up. Tried to get the Venezuelans from it but was outbid (not by much) on all 4.
Did y’all see the 1969 fb box. WTH was that! I was the underbidder for the partial 1969 fb box missing only 4 packs at 20k a year ago. I’m in shock on that sale. Not sure if bidding is over though? I love the first series and know it’s tough but 175k plus juice. Wow
Also $5250 for a 1981 wax box. Wow

Ended up winning 2 cards. The Feller
I paid more than I should have and went above my number. I was a sucker who couldn’t let it go - without trying to go up another $100. Since my plan is to hold until I die will probably be worth what I paid someday. But damn the registration and color on this one - do not think I will find one like this again. If you are familiar with this card, it is usually washed out and/or blurry. Also like the provenance. Added my first OPC to my Banks run as well.
Brad...
I love the OPC Banks and Feller!!
The Banks RC is pushing the Aaron RC in price for a PSA-8...only about a $8k difference now.
$24,500 vs $1000
I paid $23,500 less for this 1957 PSA-8.5 Banks. I owned a PSA-9 1957 Banks and sold it because the PSA-8.5 looked better.
It is crazy how the Banks has moved. I think this sale is an outlier but time will tell. Banks was always closer to Kaline than Aaron in price - but all of the sudden that is not the case. Maybe the fact that the Cubs let their entire Championship core go - has made people gravitate more towards Banks. I do not have any other theories as to why.
Agree the 8.5 looks better - does not have the print dots the 9 has.
