Morgan Vam Assistance - 1st Die Pair?

Good morning all,
I am in the process of helping my kids piano teacher with some of her inherited coins.
Can you verify that the below are:
1)1878 8TF Vam-9
2)1892-O Vam-5 DBL Ear Very Near Date (or Vam-6 Near Date?) - I believe there may be some doubling on ear, but hard to see.
Trying to attribute by date placement.

Your 78 does indeed look like VAM 9. VAM 14.1 is an "evil mimic" that trips up a lot of people, but this one looks right.
The 92-O has the date more or less in the right position for VAM 5. The back of the ear looks a little thicker than normal, so I'll say "probably" here. Take a look at the mint mark, which should be high and tilted left. It doesn't help that all of the VAMWorld mint mark pictures are rotated a bit, making it hard to see the tilt of the mint mark. There are probably also some die markers in the recessed areas of the coin that I could match up with my VAM 5 if it were sent to me for attribution.

Looks like it. Another thing you can check is the reeding. There are a a couple couple spots where the reeding looks oddly doubled on VAM 5.
