John Mercanti Signature ASE 20th Anniversary

I have an ASE Anniversary COA that is signed by John Mercanti. I am trying to find out how many of those COAs he might have signed and if this is of any value.

Check for any completed sales on eBay. Pay no attention to unsold buy-it-now offerings.

COA signed? I think those were signed at the coin show when initially offered. Nice piece of history, fairly rare.

For graded coins with signatures on the insert, thousands of those exist.

Is this a real ink signature or the printed signature?

  • It is a real ink signature, which I did not realize at first, because it looks a little like scribbling. Looking at all of the signatures I have seen printed, this one actually is much less abbreviated, although you still would not know who it is if you had not seen a sample.
