I had high hopes for this coin... this one graded 66. I have not seen enough graded examples to know how this one compares to others.

Nice coin regardless. I like the design though wish it was more defined. I got an essai some years ago.

I don't think the representation was made that this was rare... but there are no 67 graded examples by our host for this variety. Instead this just illustrates what can be found within a budget.

Luxembourg issued these three commemorative coins in 1946.
They commemorate Jang de Blannen (John the Blind) 1346-1946 who was the Count of Luxembourg.
I bought this set by mail from Luxembourg in 1964.
