I like how they say at the bottom that it's the official trading card of hockey fans everywhere but they can't show the logos because it must be unlicensed.

Got to give them props for having the balls to pick up right where they left off, still rocking the crappy looking 90's ultra junk wax look

yep looks like they wished to re start the 90's look.. not mine but here's the blue version i mentioned earlier.

I get that if you are hockey card fans seeing this for the first time in 2022, it can be kind of blah. I kind of like it because I still do love the original 1989 Pro Set football set. Sure it was overproduced then but I didn't think of it that way at the time and who knew at first. The design may not impress now but in 1989 after seeing some real bland looking football cards made by Topps in the last couple decades with head shot cards now you had these incredible action shot photographs in cards with vibrant color and cooler card stock. They had me at hello. I can appreciate the Lemieux here but its nostalgia and appreciation of the player and the original set. I look at the 1989 Pro Set football set and I think you could say a lot of those players dont have a card with a better photo.

    set.
