Question about Bowman Football

I was looking at checklists this morning and it appears that there were no Bowman Chrome football sets released from 2010-2013 and 2015. No Bowman paper from 2009-2011.
I was focused on Baseball pretty specifically so I dont remember what was going on with football at that time.
I know the last year for topps football products was 2015, so i am surprised there was no chrome that year.
Is there a reason they did not release those brands for a number of years? It seems like those are 2 popular sets to just not release.
