I bought this beauty from Larry Shapiro years back. I recall trying to chisel down his asking price on a phone call….he laughed and told me, “trust me, you have to see this one in-hand to really get it.”

And he was right! It has truly stupendous luster—that ‘wet’ or ‘dripping’ luster that we all hope for but rarely find. That luster makes the colors POP. The obverse is covered in a mix of the spectrum, more saturated with emerald greens, hot pink and lemon yellow near the top, but bright and vivid throughout, with a beautiful orange/violet/powder blue wash through Liberty’s cheek and hair. The reverse is mostly white but also lustrous and with some light rim toning.

Unlike many rainbow Morgan’s out there, this one does NOT require just the ‘right’ lighting, or holding it ‘just so’ or at some weird angle to appreciate the colors. It’s a bonafide sparkler!

Then there’s the OGH Gen 2.1 slab that was only used for a few months in 1989, and the shiny green CAC bean, completing this special package.
