Awful. he had his whole life ahead of him. Much too young to leave us. Tragic indeed. RIP

Awful news. My heart and prayers goes out to his family and friends. I always liked Haskins and was rooting for him to get a chance again, this is terrible.

Early reports are he was walking down the highway and was struck and killed by a dump truck. Ugh

has anyone heard why he was trying to cross the interstate on foot at 6:30 in the morning?

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

That's the little detail that's missing in every story that I've read about it. 🤔

There are actually two victims involved. Haskins AND the truck driver........Many, many years ago I was a big rig driver. I had a friend who was also a driver. A very nice young guy around 22 years old. Good kid. One day an older lady walked in front of his truck and was killed. It wasn't his fault but he was devastated. He quit his job and just faded away. A couple of years later he died. Drug overdose......suicide. . I heard he turned to drugs and booze because of the accident. He never got over it. He was a very nice young man.....so.......who's the real victim?

As someone who lives in that area I would say the likelihood of someone voluntarily jogging in the dark on that highway (595) or state road 84 which is the access road which runs parallel to 595 is either highly unlikely or plain insane, but I guess anything is possible.

Very sad - What exactly happened?

Been here from NY (Long Island) since I was 5 years old. Growing up mom was a diehard Dolphins fan and pop was a diehard Cowboys fan, I was a daddy's boy, so Cowboys it was for me ever since! Grew up in Ft lauderdale, place has changed dramatically over the years but I wouldn't trade being here for anything!
