If you don’t have a Mohawk Valley Coin Hoard in you collection then you need to add this coin. If you have a 50c collection then this is a must! The link below provides insight into the Mohawk Valley Coin Hoard, it is definitely worth a read. In numismatic history, these coins certainly have a place in it.
The vast majority of the coins that were found have hallmarks on them, there were a few that didn’t. The hoard has been made up primarily by capped bust half dollars, but also found were capped bust quarters, a few Reales and draped bust half dollars.
