I spoke with Bidask and he was trying to post a link to the Newman Numismatic Portal schedule of speakers this weekend and was banned. Can he please get reinstated? If not, who who should he call? Thanks

@HeatherBoyd
HeatherBoyd beyond hopefully reinstating Bidask could you help me, and likely a number of others, by perhaps clarifying what the rules are on utilizing links in posts.
I known that recently Zohar seemed to have a similar issue that may have involved use of a link and now it appears that Bidask has possibly stepped onto that same minefield.
I personally find that links can be helpful when someone is seeking information but I don't want to find myself on the wrong side of any PCGS policy on the subject.
The thing for for me is, I can't seem to find any mention of a possible policy in the rules. Would I find that elsewhere? I just want to be in the know, for myself, what is or isn't allowed, as I'd like to stay clear of any trouble.
Thank you for your assistance.

I am not a moderator, but @bidask appeared to potentially have his account hacked earlier today and multiple forum members (myself included) alerted the moderators regarding possibly suspicious links from multiple threads with odd titles. Those suspicious links, along with the odd thread titles, no doubt raised flags at PCGS. Those threads have now been removed. That is the issue, as far as I understand it.

So for when the moderator replies, will he be able to recover his current account and just reset the password or will he have to create a new account?

I'm not a moderator, I have no idea.

FYI - bidask account shows banned right now
So that was him posting those odd links?
They looked pretty suspicious. He really should have been more clear about what they were.
Not sure if the links were a violation or if the moderators were just being careful.
Bidask said they were his links. He said he posted them on the US and World Forum.

He really did himself no favors by making the thread titles a bit odd and then giving no context in his posts. If I recall correctly, the links were Google drive links and he gave no indication about what they were for. Everyone who posted to either thread (five people in the US coin forum thread and three folks in the world forum thread, if I recall correctly) mentioned that they were suspicious of the links and lack of text/context.
With all the phishing emails, scams and malware we all encounter every day, that lack of communication and the placement of odd links was just a recipe for suspicion and/or disaster.

Thank you guys for letting me know, we have enabled "bidask".
Yes the account was banned earlier because over the weekend there were some Discussions posted with external links to google drive and a handful of reported posts that had suggested their account had been hacked.
Please be careful when posting external links, especially those that link to google drive, dropbox, or any other online storage tool. We recommend using these types of links in direct messages only.
Thanks
