I just won this one:
PSA 8 Callison
Do you have another Callison besides the one for sale? If not, pull the auction, I'll give you the nicely centered 8 I just won for your set, and some $$$$ detrmined by you.
Just so you know -- Johnny Callison never was, nor did he ever plan to be, the 3rd baseman of the Pittsburgh Pirates. You have offended all true Phillies fans.
Jeff-
Your scan is one of the best Ive ever seen in an auction listing! The Pittsburgh reference is pretty funny though..Im sure you will change it.

DOH!
I did exactly what I have mad fun of others for many many times!!!!
I used a "form script" for the auction listing and
FORGOT TO CHANGE THAT PART!!!!
sorry, but now that there are bids, I can't Revise it!
I am the new "seller of the week" on the other auction, now huh?!

<< <i>Yeah BigKid, how come? >>
need the money more than the "fame".
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this set, and will keep buying, selling, grading and updating it... but have realized that I would be very happy with a set in PSA7or8 and the $$, rather than a psa 9or10 set and being broke.
that is all.
I want this card to go into a collection whose owner is obsessed with getting the 9's and 10's out there!
they deserve it.

If that is what you wanted, why didn't you let me have the card

did you miss the part about me wanting the $$?
I would LOVE for you to have it...
If you want it, bid on it.
Good luck on your auction.
thanks for the continued (and consistant) kind words for me.

I'm very surprised that Gemint hasn't responded to my friendly ribbing yet. Hmmmm. . . he must be busy trying to scrounge up the cash to get that Killebrew.

good call Pinhigh!
<< <i>What makes you guys think that I need either the Callison 9 or the Killebrew 10? You shouldn't always trust the population reports so blindly ) . >>
Gemint - If we can't trust the population report, than who can we trust? Is it you that we should place our faith in? That is a lot to ask of someone when you won't even show us your set.
<< <i>good call Pinhigh! >>
Just callin' 'em like I see 'em BigKid.
you are a bit of a PUNK aren't you?!
and for the record, it is not spam in THIS forum
since I am discussing the breaking up of
the #3 All Time REGISTRY Topps Giants Set
and this is the PSA REGISTRY FORUM!
(see you are too stupid to even get your slams correct HA!)
BigKid - I noticed on the Set Registry where your set is now listed as being 98.xx% complete. This is all well and good for the current finest list, as we see you are parting with some of these great cards. But, if you notice, your percentage of completion has also been changed in the all-time finest listing. I was under the impression that as long as the set was 90% complete that the set would remain in that state under the all-time finest listing, unless it was upgraded? Any idea of the complete rules behind this?
As an aside, I erroneously referred to thegemmintman (Gemmint) as Gemint earlier in this thread. I know that there is another member of the board who goes by Gemint and I wanted to apologize to both Gemmint and Gemint for any confusion.
I think for a set to remain intact on the All-Time Registry, you have to completely de-list it (and, if it is over 90% complete, it will stay in the All-Time Finest). However, if you are still "playing around" with your set, than it will not stay the same as it once was. Imagine a person who has a set of 1964 Topps Giants all in PSA 8, 9 and 10. Over the course of two years, that person trades 9s for 9s, 8s for 9s, and 9s for 10s. The All-Time Registry will never list his set as the best of each card he has ever listed in the set -- rather it will either be a) the point in time he de-registers the set (and it gets maintained in the All-Time list) or b) however the set currently stands, independent of past 9s or 10s.
Just my understanding.

<< <i>If you have the words "Say No to Spam" inside a red circle with a line through it, then doesn't that really say "Be against saying no to spam"? Skinny, I think that image is actually a double negative. The message I believe you are attempting to make is either "Say no to Spam" or the word "Spam" with a circle and line through it thereby indicating you are indeed anti-spam. >>
Skinny is a troll
please do not get him started
just ignore him!
and I also time running out on several PSA 8's from this same registered set!
