I'm fascinated by the history of private mints and just ran across this.
Anyone know anything about Jerome Frank Slezak and his private mint?

There appears to be very little information on Jerome Frank Slezak'and the Slezak Mint, but I did find an ad that looks to be from him in 1989:

Sorry can’t help but it’s nice to see so much Exonumia coming out of Cleveland

Definitely! There's a lot of great numismatists coming out of Ohio which is very interesting!
It's also nice that this is from 1954, before the 60s, so he was still trailblazing.

I know this is silly but I never really knew about McNamara and the Heraldic Art medals!
I was aware of a few but never knew who he was and the fact he was from Cleveland.
Then to find out GMM actually bought one of his mints just blew me away.
Started looking through all his designs and bam! I was hooked. I have never collected a series
but now several years later I’m close to finishing. What a great man……what a great story. And fantastic
designs.
