This is one of the harder to find dates from the Dahlonega mint. Virtually all of the coins from this mint were poorly produced, and this is no exception. Weakly struck, especially on the center of the reverse where the "85" of the date is almost indiscernible. This is typical of all authentic coins of this date. The coin has a few marks consistent with the grade and has nice underlying luster remaining. Most recent sale of an AU50 was Heritage, 11/2021 for $3960 plus tax and shipping.
