I just hope the food is better than SoFi Stadium's food, here you go, a $15.00 slice of pizza at SoFi.

The hot dogs are even worse at SoFi, a shriveled up weinerschnitzel.

Between parking, tickets, food, gas to get there and drinks you will need a loan to survive it.

They have to pay for it somehow. When SoFi opened up last year, the tickets, food , parking prices were a bit much.....but....for next year?......I just got the bill.......it's insane!......I almost look back on last season and wish the Rams would have finished in last place......and the hot dogs?......they look exactly this....
    EXACTLY!

I’m old enough to remember going to War Memorial or the Rock Pile while begging for a new stadium 53 odd years ago. The theme was “No more snow, football in a dome.” I’m so glad they built the open air and the new one will also be open air. It has become a trade mark of Bills football.
As far as the tax Americans pay tax on ridiculous things, might as well pay on something they enjoy.

I will continue to enjoy football and baseball from my own chair and only 12 feet from the kitchen but to those that are young it is great to go out to a game.

If I were a season ticket holder I would want a dome in that climate.

Avid Bills fans and season ticket holders will tell you they like it just the way it is. It’s part of the culture. It wouldn’t be Bills football in a dome.

Another stadium funded by the people. I just don't like it. Happens all the time.

The Seneca Nation just paid NYS $565 million from casino slot revenue to be used to pay for the new stadium according to governor. So it's not the tax payers paying, it's the slot machine players.

This is partly why players salaries can be so high. The leagues and teams should have to play for their facilities not the tax payers. Doesn’t matter they are funding it with a casino tax that money should pay for city expenses. Not big corporations work area.

The reality is different. If you want an NFL team, and the benefits from it in your city, someone other than the owners are going to have to pay for it.

The area reaps the rewards in tourist money on game weekends. Hotels, restaurants, entertainment etc. In the long run it’s a win for everyone. And let’s not forget about other events held there. Concerts, tractor pulls and what ever else.
It’s not just a football stadium, it’s an event venue.

It might be time to change the culture considering they've never won a super bowl.

Tax payers should not be funding entertainment facilities used for professional purposes. That should be on the corporations that profit from it. As for the argument it benefits the whole community so does every large and small business in that community. The taxpayers shouldn’t be on the hook to build their venue to sell their goods and services right?

I’m all for people making all they can make in salery. I’m typing out of my rear here but I think the average Major League Baseball player makes over a mill a year and is worth it if he can get it but he wouldn’t get it if the owners had to pay for their stadiums not the tax payers.

Lol. The responses here are comical.
You know the best part? Giants and Jets fans are paying for a stadium

Afaik, So-fi, Gillette, and Met-life are the only privately financed stadiums. I may be wrong.

Edited to add: though I am sure that even 100% private financing can be picked apart a bit.

Believe it or not, I have only attended one NFL game in my life. And I was just a young kid at the time. That being said, I can definitely understand what you are saying here. Growing up in NE, I just didn't think of football as a warm weather sport. I know that training camp starts in the heat for everyone. But the cold of winter always felt right as it mixed with football. Even if it was just snow outside as I watched on television.

The ways in which weather shapes our experiences and memories, and perceptions, is quite interesting. We conflate the weather with the occurrence and sometimes think that they must be mutually inclusive. Two experiences of mine have helped me see things differently.

The first was marrying my wife. She is from Brazil. In Brazil, of course, the general weather patterns are opposite of ours. So summertime is at Christmas time. And that would also be when school is out for summer. Etc. The second was moving to Texas. Now I no longer have the distinct four seasons. I also no longer necessarily even have a cold Christmas.

Obviously you all know this already. Many of you live in cold or warm climates. But perhaps some of you have never lived in both.

My point is that I associate football with cold weather, as I assume @2dueces does as well.... despite the fact that we both now live in Texas.

Look, believe me, nobody wants to play in a dome, not having fresh air is bad for the ligaments, just look what it did to Drew Brees's neck.
