Scarce Redbook variety.
Low grade but the E/A is bold.....GONE

Here's one of those crazy bogus half dollars that apparently circulated back in the 19th century.
I have identified it as Davignon 5/F. It is listed as rare in the reference work on this subject, but
I suspect that a handful (5 or more) of this variety are in existence.
Long, straight nose on the portrait. "United States" reads as one word on the reverse.....HOLD
