1988 p Washington quarter

Hello everyone, I’m brand new here so bare with me please. I have a 88 p quarter that weighs 5.75 grams? I changed batteries and recalibrated and 5.75 every time. Any knowledge you can pass on would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your time in advance,

    Welcome to the forum. There is an allowable weight tolerance above and below the target weight. Your coin is well within normal range.

    Why did you weigh it? Was there some visible anomaly?

  • It’s a very clean sharp coin and it comes in at 5.75 every time.

    The weight tolerance for a quarter is 5.67 gms +/- 0.227 gms. Your coin is well within that range and is considered normal.
