Retire a set and then re-register???

Hello all. I collect 1951 Topps Blue Backs and noticed that a well known dealer, who had the 4th best set of all time, retired it and then re-registered it so he now has the 4th and 5th best of all time. Only difference is email of the registered person in charge. Does this seem right to anyone?

I don’t really get listing the All Time Finest sets. It bothers me that the same cards are potentially in multiple different sets. If you sell a set, the cards should be completely removed from the registry.

Or to put it another way…if that guy sold the set to another collector, and then he registered it, the same set would still be 4th and 5th.

PaulMaul. I agree with you. Howeverm this set is listed with almost exactly the same name and the dealers name is in the name. It is obvious it is exactly the same set.

Hopefully someone in the PSA hierarchy will read this and get to work cleaning up the dealer/auction house sets in the registry (there are a lot of them).
