I picked up this 1884-O some weeks back. I don’t really collect Morgan’s but I liked the look. It is a VAM 6 o/o. Not the best picture. In hand you can clearly see the die scratches in the hair. For the VAM collectors out there do you care if they are PL or DMPL designation? Is there a sweet spot where people like their VAMs or is it deep mirrors or bust?

People who collect VAMs do not insist on PL, especially for scarcer ones.
Kind of an odd question.
Collecting is not an "if this then that" type of equation, some collectors want PL or DMPL while others may not want or like that look. Those who collect VAM's are no different, some will look for those qualities and others will not.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
The nice coin with the old holder and DMPL grade create more desire than the Vam.
Not if you are a VAM collector.
