Actually a pretty tough question for me...

Shaq does a lot with his size, and his FG% is amazing but he needs to be better at the charity stripe and possibly learn a bit of an outside game... anything beyond 8 ft is a problem for him... if he extends his range even to 10-12 he'll be God (read deity, not God Shammgod) on the Basketball Court.

Kobe has the complete game, and although he still occasionally gets in a gimme-the-ball mode sometimes when he shouldn't be he's begun to control that a lot more, and other than (maybe) Jordan at his peak I don't know who else I'd rather have in control in the last minutes/seconds of a game.

So even though I'm a bigger Shaq fan by far I'll hand the "who's better" title to Kobe.

The one way to compare them is...............

If i need a guy to take over a game for a quarter i go to Shaq every time.Kobe is an awesome athlete but he does not hit 100% of his field goals .He hits about 50% wheras Shaq just turns and DUNKS on your ass. I go to him everytime inside and he dominates.

So Shaq is the answer

However i like watching kobe more

Oh, by the way, what ever happened to God Shammgod? I saw him in his rookie year (97-98) with the Wizards, and then the next year Poof!. It was like he disappeared. What happened? PLMK.
