Low Priced Modern Commemorative Dollars

I have noticed that at times, you can find modern commemorative silver dollars for the same price as, or a little more than 90% junk silver.
At my LCS, I recently picked up two 1990 Ike dollar proofs for $20.75 each. They included all the mint packaging.
In January, I picked up a 1996-S $1. National Commemorative Service dollar for $21.75. It also included all the mint packaging.
Last December, I picked up a 1992-W White House dollar, PCGS PR69 DCAM for $23.50.
Today, with my LCS charging 24 X face for junk silver, I decided to pay $27.00, and buy this commemorative silver dollar, instead of the expensive junk silver.
Anybody else doing the same thing?

I just bought 40 modern commem $1s for a friend at a show for spot. I think it’s a good deal too 🤷🏼♂️
Easier to look at than corroded 1963 quarters 😂
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
I have been doing the same, you can sometimes even get them for below the junk silver price. Wonder what the attrition on these will be if the price of silver continues to rise.
I like the modern commemoratives too - despite that many I bought from us mint at same or even higher than they are priced now.
They have some nice designs - I love the 1990 Ike commemorative, for example, and the Edison “don’t tread on me” - there are some cool ones. The 2000 Buffalo is also an old fav but good luck getting that one for under 100 bucks.
Also note most of these are only 3/4 oz of 90% silver - the 999 stuff is since ~2019 or later - someone may correct me but it was recent that they made the change to 1 oz 999 for these.
No. Not an oz. The Apollo is a 26.73 gms.

They are selling less than an ounce for over $100 for the colorized Purple Heart $95 for.859 oz of silver.
The Morgans and Peace Dollar are .858 of an oz.
