Toughest sport in the world

This is why I continue to point out what the hardest sport to do is. You have to be superhuman in fitness, and you face danger in every race:
This was yesterday's Strade Bianche. One of the spring classics, this one has gravel sectors to mix it up some. So they are on road bikes with skinny tires on gravel and trying to stay upright at 35 km/h in a pack. Then comes a huge gust of wind from the right. That is Julian Alaphilipe in the world champion jersey (World Road Champion for 2021).

Monkey karate is a tough sport indeed, squirrels are even worse. Bruce Lee couldn't do nothing with him in "Way of The Rodent!"
Another tough sport is the slap in the face competition, first one to quit loses!
And the winner is?......
I still say NFL or NHL gives you the best chance of getting hurt the worst out of all sports.
....
I only recently discovered this sport. It is quite intense.
.
Not as intense as ostrich racing, climb aboard, if you dare!
Ostriches are not nice!
Yes, but did you ever eat an ostrich burger? I didn't think so.
Cross Country running. Three miles. Not around the city block. Not around the stadium track like they do today. Real cross country. Up the mountain, down the in the gully, through the hills. No more grueling event.....at the finish?...... Guys rolling on the ground in agony......I'm sure it's outlawed today......

I never got what the draw is to the endurance sports. I have a good friend who is a triathlete. been all over the country competing. seems like a very very small payoff for so much agony. I mean this guy trains all the time.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
