09SVDB Damaged Mint Area! Wrong Reverse! (Help get this listing removed)

I was going to ask for opinions first, but I'm going for it on this one.
The reverse,
The "N" is wrong in united! (1)
The period following the V is to low (2)
The period following the D is questionable, but appears to close to the D (???)
The Obverse,
With all that damage around the mint mark I'm going to say (my view of possible) this was an alteration attempt gone wrong.

Looking at the VDB, if the picture was fully upright, the initials would lean left.
Good eye, I didn't notice that but your right! and a straight on view might show the designer's initials maybe to far left of proper position?

The typical position of the initials is left of center
I knew that, what I was meaning, was MAYBE on this coin its a little to far left of center????

I'm at a loss to understand how anyone could sell something so altered and defaced with no shame or qualms.

You know, this hobby is getting monetarily dangerous for new collectors or the uninformed.
Just look at all the good money lost to bad coins.
