Are 1965 Embossed Insert popular now? This is the 2nd time I have seen a post about them in the last few months.
No, I don’t think they are, or ever will be, popular. For some, however, they offer a more affordable alternative when collecting the bigger stars.
The embossed set has always been difficult to find in good condition as the foil is very condition sensitive. Additionally, some of the cards are notorious for being off-center. As a result, putting together a higher grade set is a challenge which is an enjoyable pursuit to many, regardless of the fact that a lot of collectors consider them ugly.
