    I remembered Oliva having 700 or so plate appearances most years and just always assumed he hit first or second. But you're right, he did hit 3rd, so that's a worthy addition to the list.

    Nobody remembers who they are....but.....they got the job done. #3 & #4 in the lineup. A couple of World Series Championships ain't all that bad! THREE DOG and CLUTCH!.......

    I was thinking about the 1929-30-31-32 Athletics - Al Simmons and Jimmy Foxx- just cannot recall if they were 3-4 in the line up

    Hodges Snyder and Campanella - I know we limited the discussion to 3-4- my apologies for not recalling which of these guys were 3-4 and I suspected it changed alittle in the '49-'55 time frame
