Go to your profile page
Upper middle/right of page is a blue icon that is a blue head and shoulders of a person with a blue down arrow on the right.
Select that and it’ll say “edit profile”
On the edit profile page you can try to change avatar
Also on there somewhere is
“Allow other members to see your email?”
Make sure that is unchecked. Scammers will sometimes troll the BST. Don’t make it easier by giving your email.
Also on there is “Private Profile” ? If you make your profile private then no one can send you PMs

You had the disadvantage of joining on a weekend when Mods may or not be available. For sure wait till Monday and then enjoy this forum - it's the best!

Yes, at the top it still say applicant

Yeah, none of that appears so I guess it's not available yet.
