Let's see some color people. Imaging vivid color proof nickels today.
It’s been a while since I’ve really settled down enough to relax with my coins and my camera. Something that has always been enjoyable to me. I decided to take on some proof nickels to show not only the vivid neon colors but the surfaces of the coin as well. Jefferson nickels from the time period of 60-63 tend to display the colors I’m looking to pick up and show. They are readily available for me to image without having to fight the plastic in front of them, in other words they’re raw and I have a small collection of them with nice color. I have a handful of these with some, what I think to be, vivid, natural, beautiful color. Here are a couple I choose to work with. Common as it gets for dates, but the color is screaming at me.
If you have such coins as these please do feel free to post them here no matter what they are. I for one would love to see them.
Take care and thanks for looking, Joe

It's great to see more photos from you, Joe! That second nickel is like... neon!
Here’s one I like a lot.

@Aspie_Rocco That second 1938 proof nickel is without a doubt, one of the finest toned nickels I have seen from that era of proof coinage. Absolutely stunning!

Thank you much! I appreciate that. They are the pride of my Registry set and all time favorite Jefferson issues. Several of these came out of my original Dansco collection including a pr67 1938 and a pr67 1939. I used to put proofs in place of Philly business strikes and somehow they didn’t get hairlines.

Reposting archive pictures of my 1964 set in an acrylic box from another thread https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/13186450#Comment_13186450 and am slowly starting to warm up to the blue hue of the Jefferson nickel.
