    Maybe someone can point out to me where the cleaning is - these were untouched for the last 50 years.

    They appear to be cleaned via a standard method back in the 60s using baking soda and warm water.

    The toning has an off look for a couple of those coins. The 1908-S Barber especially looks cleaned.

    That sounds very plausible - about the right time frame when my grandfather purchased
